SHE Software CEO honoured with top industry accolade
28 June 2018 - SHE Software Ltd
SHE Software’s CEO Matthew Elson has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to the UK’s technology industry, being awarded 'Scale Up Entrepreneur Finalist' at the 2018 Enterprise Awards.
Described as ‘the Oscars of the technology industry’, the Enterprise Awards celebrates the very best entrepreneurial talent in tech across the UK, recognising vision, growth, ambition and determination to succeed.
The news comes hot on the heels of the release of SHE Software’s annual results, which demonstrated the company’s best ever year, with a growth rate of 60 per cent and turnover fast approaching £4 million.
Matthew acquired SHE Software in 2011 and took over as CEO in 2014. After initially turning around and stabilising the business, Matthew has brought together a talented leadership team that has consistently delivered rapid growth for the company’s health and safety software solution, Assure.
A £3 million funding boost from NVM Private Equity has recently seen the firm building its international reach. May saw the launch of a new centre of operations in Chicago, adding US interests to an existing and well-established APAC customer base, with its hub in New Zealand.
Matthew Elson, CEO SHE Software said:
“I’m thrilled to have been recognised at such a prestigious event within the UK’s technology sector. Although the awards acknowledge individuals, this recognition is testimony to the enormous hard work and commitment shown by our entire team at SHE Software.
“I’m pleased that once more, SHE Software is in the spotlight for our commercial success in bringing innovative and dynamic solutions to the health and safety market.”
John O’Connell, Chairman of the ScaleUp Group and founder of the Enterprise Awards, said:
“Being recognised at this year’s Enterprise Awards is a tremendous achievement, with so many competing top performing entrepreneurs leading businesses achieving 50%+ compound annual growth.
“This, together with Matthew's success in attracting several funding offers recently plus the sustainability of his business model and his bold move into the US market, persuaded us to recognise his efforts.”
