Taking a Different Perspective in Canning Town: Safety & Health Expo 2019
12 June 2019 - SHE Software Ltd
Come and find out how we can help embed health and safety into your organisation’s DNA at stand SH3060 at the Safety & Health Expo at ExCel London from 18-20 June 2019.
The modern, sprawling, glass-fronted ExCeL Exhibition Centre is in the Custom House area of Canning Town, East London, which has had a checkered past. Designed to encourage industry, railroad, and shipping during the Victorian Era, much of Canning Town boomed for a short while before becoming a poster child for extreme poverty, slums, rusting cranes and decaying docks.
Almost everyone wrote the area off as a lost cause. But then the Newham London Borough Council decided to change that perspective. The result? The Canning Town regeneration project. This £3.7 billion project will rejuvenate the area and provide safer and healthier living conditions to its residents.
As we see it, this is the perfect setting for the UK Safety and Health Expo, which will be at the ExCeL from June 18-20. It’s in an area where you can witness a rejuvenation dedicated to improving the health and safety of a population. And just think—a different perspective made that happen. SHE Software will be there to talk about health and safety and different perspectives with a dose of high-speed rail.
Not long until the doors open on 18 June
With a projected attendance of 14,000 health and safety professionals, the Safety & Health Expo gives us the opportunity to talk to people across a diverse range of industries about their challenges and discuss how our health and safety software solution, Assure, can help!
The theme of the Expo this year is courage, resilience, and breaking the mould, which is what SHE Software is all about. We empower our customers to be courageous, resilient, and break the mould by helping them embed health and safety into their organisation's DNA.
If you are attending, stop by and speak to our friendly team on stand SH3060.
Breaking the mould: HS2's innovative approach to managing health and safety
High Speed 2 (HS2) is one of the most demanding and exciting transport projects in Europe. When completed, it will directly connect London, Birmingham, the East Midlands, Leeds, and Manchester.
On 18 June, Sarah Sargent, Safety and Assurance Performance Manager for the new high-speed rail network, will be joined by SHE Software’s Julian Taylor, to discuss how HS2 is using technology, including business intelligence tools to translate health and safety data into actionable insights that enable proactive workforce intervention.
The presentation will focus on how technology can support three fundamental elements—engagement, communication, and strong leadership—that drive significant health and safety performance improvement. Put it in your calendar as its shaping up to be a really engaging and informative session.
Witnessing new Insights+
For us, one of the most exciting parts of this year’s Expo will be officially be launching Assure Insights+, our new business intelligence tool. Insights+ transforms data into insights that organisations can use to make smarter health and safety decisions and drive improvements as part of a preventative approach to health and safety management.
With just a few simple clicks, users can filter and explore their data, drilling into the events behind the data, for instant answers to their most important health and safety questions.
We welcome all attendees to check out our live demos throughout the event and see why SHE Software is transforming the way health and safety is managed by empowering organisations to draw insight from their data. Pop by Stand SH3060 and we can give you a live tour!
