AI Suggestion Assistant Improvements

Use the AI Suggestion Assistant on Roam

Leverage the power of generative AI while in the field. 

The AI Suggestion Assistant is now available in Roam, and the possibilities are endless! Support your teams with context-specific, on-the-go suggestions with full AI Suggestion Assistant functionality in Roam. 

Example Use Case: 

Hazard Recognition: Help teams flag and identify any potential high-risk hazards in real time with device-captured image.

Expanding Attachment Recognition with AI

With this release, we are extending our existing photo analysis functionality by adding PDF and Word attachments. The AI Assistant will now provide descriptive summaries based on the content of these new file types. 

 

Auto-Populate Record Fields From AI Suggestions 

We have advanced the use of results returned by the AI Suggestion Assistant. With a simple click, users can now automatically populate record fields directly from suggestions. 

User Experience and System Enhancements

Control Dashboard Visualizations With Multiple Parameters

This release allows for the selection of multiple parameters when controlling visualizations. Quickly identify trends, patterns and actionable insights across complex datasets. 

Improvement to the Hierarchy Viewer 

We have upgraded the hierarchical tree viewer to improve user interaction with large and complex hierarchies.

New Calendar Dashboard

A new calendar dashboard has been developed with a modernized look and improved user experience. 

Improved File Attachment Functionality 

Attaching multiple files is now easier with simple drag and drop functionality. 

You can also preview selected attachments, like images, without downloading them.

Data Import Wizard

An Import Wizard is now available to support the process of importing data. The new Import Wizard is designed to guide the administrator through the process of creating a data import and significantly reduces the effort involved.

Support consistent, repeatable workplace risk assessments with action tracking and scheduled reviews across your organization.

Integrated with Evotix 360’s Training & Competency module, Learn simplifies compliance and competency tracking and allows you to manage a hybrid training program with both digital and in-person training in one place.

How it works!

  • Plan and track training requirements and assign courses in the Evotix 360 Training & Competency module.
  • Create digital courses in Learn using existing content or leverage ready-made courses from our content partners.
  • Complete assigned courses and interactive quizzes online, reinforcing knowledge.

Turn Images Into Insights With the AI Suggestion Assistant

Evotix is excited to introduce image recognition as the latest enhancement to the AI Suggestion Assistant. This upgrade allows you to analyze images within records, providing instant, context-specific insights across any EHS&S processes.

By embedding image recognition into processes such as hazard detection, ergonomic assessments or incident reporting, you reduce reliance on text-based reporting. Instead, the AI Suggestion Assistant extracts key details from images, improving accuracy and efficiency.

How it helps:

  • Reduce errors and inefficiencies from manual text-based reporting.
  • Improve record accuracy, especially when reports lack detail.
  • Act faster with AI driven suggestions based on images and historic data, available in seconds.

Automate Translation of Emails and Notifications

Ensure clear communication across a multilingual workforce with automatic translations for emails and notifications. After upgrading to 2025.1, you can enable messaging to be automatically translated before sending, ensuring users receive them in their preferred language, without manual effort.

How it works:

  • Integrate with Google Translate to set up automatic translation.
  • Enable as a global setting by administrators.
  • Send emails in the user’s default language with or without the original version.

New Supplier Data Collection for Scope 3 Emission Reporting

Accurate supplier data is essential for granular, reliable emissions and performance tracking. This release introduces supplier-specific data and emissions tracking, allowing you to collect, map and integrate supplier data directly into your Scope 3 reporting and sustainability insights.

Leverage this enhancement within the Emission Management and Metrics Management modules to improve ESG transparency and compliance.

Every release includes a range of platform, end-user and administrator enhancements. We strongly recommend an upgrade to gain the benefits of these improvements and leverage any security improvements for improved protection.

Before you upgrade, here are some things to consider to ensure you succeed:

  • Learn more about the latest version:
    Understand the changes and how users will use them. Our customer webinar is an excellent start as it highlights the improvements. Second, consider tailored demos to focus on specific areas of interest and do deeper dives.
  • Plan the upgrade:
    Talk to Evotix’s team and plan the upgrade when your key resources are ready and at a time that suits you. Discuss using the improvements when planning your upgrade.
  • Communicate end-user changes:
    Understand the changes and support end users by communicating these changes. Evotix can assist with training users as part of an upgrade.

If you are a hosted customer, one upgrade a year is included to ensure you stay on the latest supported version.

Evotix AI: Unlock Corporate Knowledge Faster with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

The Evotix AI Suggestion Assistant is designed to provide live AI-generated suggestions to frontline workers and decision-makers at all levels of your organization across any EHS&S process.

With this release, we are giving the AI Suggestion Assistant a powerful upgrade by embedding Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). With RAG your team can quickly scan your corporate data in your EHS&S solution and generate relevant, context-specific suggestions to support decision-making at every level.

  • Quickly find past incidents, actions and controls for similar situations.
  • Easily surface regulatory and compliance content related to an incident, audit or risk assessment.

Seamlessly Access Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) With an Integrated SDS Library

We’re introducing an integrated SDS library that allows you to directly access a comprehensive Safety Data Sheet (SDS) library via our partner SDS Manager. This enables faster, more efficient chemical safety data management, helping you stay compliant and keep your teams safe.

How does it work?

  1. Search and select SDSs from a library of millions and link them to your chemicals in the chemical register.
  2. Auto-populate and index essential information from the selected SDS into your chemical record.
  3. Receive automated alerts when an SDS has been updated.
  4. Make chemical safety data available to all teams via the mobile app Roam.

Chemical Management Enhancements

To better track and report on chemical inventories, we are further streamlining the chemical compliance management by introducing enhanced threshold management and the ability to generate additional standard reports directly in the system. 

 

What’s New?

  1. Category-based inventory tracking
    Track chemical quantities not only by individual substances but also by regulatory categories. Set thresholds by category and receive alerts when your inventory reaches those limits to ensure compliance and adhere to additional reporting needs.
  2. Tracking for chemical components in mixtures
    In addition, you can also track inventory by quantities of components within mixtures and receive alerts against thresholds.  
  3. Additional reporting capabilities
    Use the new ‘Chemical Manifest Report’ and ‘EPCRA TierII Report’ as standardized reports for chemical reporting and inventory control.
  4. OSHA HazCom standard labels
    Generate OSHA-compliant labels with pictograms, hazard and precautionary statements, and emergency contact information, supporting safe handling and identification of hazardous chemicals.

Enhanced Contractor Onboarding

With this release, we are reducing the administrative burden of the contractor onboarding process.

With a new self-registration feature, contractors can now populate their own pre-qualification details directly. This allows you to onboard new contractors faster, ensuring compliance and reducing delays.

In-App Context-Sensitive ‘Quick Help’

The new “Quick Help” feature for hosted environments provides context-sensitive support directly within the web application. 

A side panel offers helpful tips and best practice guides during setup for administrators and system designers.

Self-Service Tomcat Restart

We are introducing a ‘Self-Service’ Tomcat restart feature for hosted non-production environments. This allows you to test and publish configuration changes in hosted non-production environments without needing support tickets or support from the Evotix team.

Roam Move to Evotix App Store on December 16, 2024

As we complete the integration of SAI360 and Evotix, we’re transitioning the Roam App from SAI Global app stores to Evotix app stores.

With release v2024.2, Roam v6.1 will be available and moved to the Evotix Apple and Google Play store accounts. This transition has already been completed for the Windows store.

Please note that the exact release date and time depend on approval processes of the respective stores. Once the update is live, we will notify you by email.

What to Expect

  • App logout: After upgrading to version 6.1, all users will be automatically logged out of Roam and will need to log back in to continue using it.
  • In-Progress Record: any In-progress records not yet submitted to the web application will be lost during the update. Records already submitted in the web application are not impacted.

To avoid disruption and losing any records during the process:

  • Ask your users to submit all in-progress records before upgrading to 6.1.
  • Suggest to users to disable automatic updates for the Roam app on individual devices if they wish to control the timing of the update.
  • If you are using a central mobile device management (MDM), you can manage and schedule the release at a time appropriate for your business.
